Thame Food Festival is a landmark event in the food calendar which attracts national notoriety and a huge number of visitors from far and wide.
It is a wonderful showcase for local artisan food and drink producers and retailers in the region, ie. food and drink made in a traditional or non-mechanised way using high-quality ingredients of great provenance.
The definition of ‘local’ producers and retailers is those situated within a 30 mile radius of Thame and their applications will be considered favourably where there is over subscription to a particular category of stall.
If produce is available nationally, ie. online and in a supermarket or major store, at a major food show or wholesale, then stall space will only be considered as part of a sponsorship package; details further down.
Please read the important information below BEFORE applying:
There is a three stage procedure for all stallholder bookings, as below:
STAGE 1 – ENQUIRY
Completion and submission of your stallholder enquiry form
Samples, and additional information will be required if you are a new stallholder and not known to us.
STAGE 2 – ASSESSMENT
Assessment of your stallholder enquiry and a sample request if you are a new stall holder is required. A sample tasting will take place. You will then be notified whether or not we can offer you a stall space.
The organisers’ decision is final with regard to stall acceptance.
STAGE 3 – BOOKING
Once you have been accepted you can complete your booking and make payment.
Your booking is NOT complete until you have uploaded all documentation and paid for your stall.
This is a TWO DAY event and as such you can only trade for the whole two days. No one will be allowed to de-rig their stall/gazebo before the end of trading at 4pm on Sunday 30th September. No vehicles will be allowed on site before then.
Alcohol cannot be sold from open vessels for immediate consumption, samples may be given but all alcohol sales are on an off-licence basis.
The Festival DOES NOT provide hand wash facilities, refrigeration, gas supply or electricity cabling/connectors – you will need to provide your own and ensure that they are in good working order, with any relevant inspection/certification documents up to date and to hand at the event.
Electricity is provided and must to be booked in advance by our own suppliers. The use of your own generators is NOT permitted and any exhibitor found using one will be asked to stop, and will then be charged for a electrical supply.
Please note that the standard pitch size is 3m x 3m and that only stall space is provided.
All stallholders need to provide their own gazebo, tables and equipment etc.
Producers who have produce available nationally can only have stall space as part of a sponsorship package, however smaller food producers are also welcome to take one of these packages to enjoy the extras that are provided.
We have Food Producer Sponsorship packages available. Please download our media pack.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Please note that we now have a Plastics Policy at the Food Festival – hoping to be plastic free by 2020…
Have a look at it and do what you can to adhere.
