Lotte has lived, shopped and often worked in Thame since she was 10.
She first got involved with Thame Food Festival in 2010 and was then asked to come on board as Patron the following year.
Lotte is a Director and event co-ordinator and runs the festival with Jon Hackett.
She passionately believes in the strong ethos of the Festival – which is to celebrate British produce, support and platform artisan producers and inform visitors from far and wide – and this is done in the beautiful fields surrounding the market town of Thame.
Her love of Artisan British food knows no bounds and when something new hits the table in one of the TFF stall holder tastings, she gets VERY excited!
Outside of the festival Lotte is a Chef, broadcaster, presenter and food writer.
Recognised as a leading authority on English cooking, she brings thirty years of food experience to her television presenting with a light, friendly and humorous touch.
Aside from TV, since 2012 Lotte has hosted the Interview Stage at the BBC Good Food Shows – speaking to all the big names in food TV including John Torrode, Gregg Wallace, Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry, Michel Roux Jr, James Martin and Tom Kerridge amongst many others. At the summer show, this also includes many TV gardeners too.
They have become a popular destination at the shows for both the interviewees and the public, where the interviews are always lively, fun and relaxed.
Lotte also regularly demonstrates for AGA and has hosted the demonstrations for Kenwood and Magimix at the BBC Good Food Show too.
Lotte has been on and off our television screens since 1998 and she is a regular face and one of the resident chefs on Food Network UK and has filmed many interstitials for the channel including Made with Love for Valentines with Matt Evers and ‘Keep calm and plan ahead Christmas in September weekend’.
Lotte is also the face of Food Network’s online Cookery School having filmed many short form films on the website with scores of different recipes from Bread to Cakes to Pies.
2011/12 Lotte was one of the main judges for the OFM (Observer Food Monthly) Awards and The World Bread Awards – and is also a judge co-ordinator for Great Taste Awards – having judged for the GTA’s for the last four years.
Her cookery book – Lotte’s Country Kitchen was published by Absolute Press in 2010.
